What we collect

Nothing. AudioSwitch Pro has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no accounts and no sign-in. We do not know who you are, whether you use the app, or which devices you own.

What stays on your Mac

Everything the app remembers is stored locally, inside the app's own sandbox container on your machine:

• Which keyboard shortcut you assigned to which device
• Which devices you starred or hid
• Window size and position, and your settings toggles

None of it is transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app removes it. We have no copy and no way to obtain one.

Network connections

The Mac App Store version of AudioSwitch Pro makes no network connections of its own. It does not phone home, check for updates, or contact any server we control.

The one exception is not really ours: if you buy the Pro unlock, macOS talks to Apple's App Store on your behalf to complete and later verify the purchase. That exchange happens between your Mac and Apple. We never see your name, email address, or payment details — only an anonymous confirmation from Apple, on your own device, that the purchase exists. Apple's handling of it is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Audio and microphones

AudioSwitch Pro changes which device macOS uses for sound. It does not record, listen to, sample or transmit audio, and it does not request microphone permission. The input level indicator you see next to the active microphone is drawn from a level reading macOS already publishes — no audio content is captured, stored or sent.

Children

The app is a utility with no user accounts, no content and no messaging. It is not directed at children, and because it collects no data, it collects none from children either.

Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to access, export or delete. If you would like that confirmed in writing, email us and we will say so.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated date at the top changes with it, and the previous wording is replaced on this page. We will not retroactively start collecting data under an old policy.
